About this blog

Hi and welcome to my blog! I go by Tony here but that’s a pseudonym I use for privacy reasons.

As you can tell by the site name and headline, this blog mostly about exploring the deep past with a strong focus on the Pleistocene, a period which lasted from 2.58 million to 11,700 years ago and included the last ice age. This blog is research-heavy and presents information-along with my own opinions-on topics related to paleontology, paleogeography, and paleoanthropology. My views change as I learn more, and I often go back to improve my articles after gaining more knowledge.

I have a background in biology as well as a passion for wildlife, history, and landscapes. After spending countless hours studying these topics, I decided I wanted to provide engaging information and insights to people who share my interests. Feel free to leave your own thoughts or questions on my posts, as well as suggest any topics you think I should write about.
